Mika is a video artist suffering from chronic insomnia and an ongoing creative crisis. During a visit to a sleep-disorders clinic, she meets Sophie, a young woman with a rare sleep disorder. The encounter with Sophie awakens extraordinary feelings in Mika that restore her faith in her creative powers, but simultaneously destabilizes her marriage and her relationships with those closest to her.
Thrill is a play about the place of art in our lives, about the desperate need to find thrills within everyday routine, and about a relationship tested by the search for meaning and self-reinvention.
