A Neapolitan comedy.
Filumena, a former prostitute, is stunned to discover one day that her beloved partner Domenico – the man who rescued her from the world of brothels twenty-five years ago – now intends to marry another woman, younger and prettier. But Filumena doesn’t lose her head in the face of the possibility that, should the wedding take place, she will once again be out on the street. She tries to disrupt Domenico’s plans with a series of clever ruses.
A sharp, warm and exuberant human comedy about the boundaries between lawful love and forbidden desire, by one of the greatest Italian playwrights of the twentieth century.
